Cemetery:
Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, and Army National Guard Honors Detail

Biography--

William Robert “Bill” Anderson, 82, of Jesup, Iowa, (Littleton), died peacefully at home, Monday, April 23.

Bill was born September 05, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Orval Martin & Bertha Jane (McAninch) Anderson. He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1954. Bill married Jo Ann Marie McIntyre on Dec. 3, 1960 in Waterloo at St. Paul’s Methodist Church.

Bill served in the US Army from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1960. He worked in the storeroom for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. up until 1990 when he retired. He had a passion for fishing and woodworking. As well as, he was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Waterloo.

Survived by: his wife; one daughter, Wendy (Daniel) Brown, of Winthrop; one son: Brian (Kathy) Anderson, of Traer; six grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Constanzo, of Indianola, Beau Brown, of Independence, McKenzie (Brandon Mitchell) Anderson, of Green Mountain, Ajalynne (Matt) Spielman, of Winthrop, Austin Brown, of Cedar Rapids, Becca Brown, of Winthrop; three great-grandchildren, Rusty (Boyce) Brown, of Winthrop, Hunter Contanzo, and Cordelia Mitchell; one sister, Nancy(Larry) Jergens, of Cedar Falls; and one brother, Burdette (Vicky) Anderson, of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: parents, two sisters, and one brother.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Cedar Valley Hospice for their care.
