Obituary for Ann Enderlein

Ann Reuling Felcher Enderlein, 92, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 22, at home of natural causes.

Ann was born in Waterloo on Jan 31, 1926; the daughter of Dr. Harold and Margaret “Peg” Reuling. A graduate of West Waterloo High in 1943, she attended Wellesley College and graduated from University of Iowa with a chemistry major.

She married Dewey Felcher on June 20, 1947. Dewey died July 26, 1968. She married Gene Enderlein February 12, 1983. Gene died March 17, 2014.

Ann’s adult life was dedicated to her family, to community service, fund raising and philanthropy. She served on the board of the National Bank of Waterloo, as President of the Waterloo Civic Foundation, the Friends of the Arts, as well as the Junior League of Waterloo & Cedar Falls.

She also served positions on the board of Allen Hospital Foundation, the Allen College Foundation, the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, and a life-long member of the Episcopal Church. Ann loved being outdoors where over her life she delighted in skiing, golfing, tennis, but mostly fishing.

Ann is survived by daughters, Mindy Ramsey of Salt Lake City, Utah; Margy (Jim) Titus of Sonoma, California, son Dr. Tom (Leah) Felcher of Stockbridge, Georgia, and stepdaughter Deb Pultorak (Steve) of Swan, Iowa; four grandchildren, Libby (Brian) Kelly, Matt ( Erika) Ramsey and Nick and Bo Titus; and four great grandchildren, Avery and Dewey Kelly and Ellen and Noah Ramsey.

Visitation is from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, April 27, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. A funeral service will be at Trinity Episcopal Church at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, followed by burial at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will follow at Sunnyside Country Club.

Memorials may be directed to the Waterloo Community Foundation or the Allen Hospital Foundation.
