Obituary for Ann J. Petruccelli

January 25, 1930 - April 7, 2018

Ann J. Petruccelli, 88, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

She was born January 25, 1930, in Iowa City, daughter of Sam and Nancy Armetta Cortimiglia. She married Vincent J. Petruccelli, June 30, 1956, in Moline. He died January 15, 1999.

Ann graduated from Iowa City Commercial College and was a secretary at University Hospitals before marriage, then was a devoted homemaker.

Survived by: her daughter, Vicki Petruccelli of Waterloo; three nieces, Susan (Lynn) Larsen of Anita, Iowa, Carol (Don) Leigh of Iowa City and Leann Cortimiglia of Coralville; two nephews, Rick (Johnnie) Lipsius of Texas and Dan (Taressa) Lipsius of Kalona, Iowa; several great nieces and nephews, Angeline, David, Lucas, Rachel, Dylan, Jessalynn, Samuel, Rebecca, Amanda, Rick, Joey and William.

Preceded in death by: her husband; a brother, Leo Cortimiglia; and a sister Rose Lipsius.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church where family will receive friends one hour before services.
