Stacey Dorette Heideman, 52 of Waterloo, Iowa, died at UnityPoint Health ‑ Allen Hospital, in Waterloo, on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
She was born December 9, 1965 in Waterloo, the daughter of Richard and Dorette (Makinster) Heideman, Sr.
She worked for Waterloo Courier in delivery for many years.
Stacey was a member of First Baptist Church in Waterloo, Chevaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, and Young Americans Bugle Corps. She enjoyed fishing, music, playing the trumpet. For several years she played Taps at Garden of Memories Cemetery on Memorial Day.
She is survived by her mother, Dorette Heideman, of Kissimmee, FL; her significant other. Terry Schweitzer of Waterloo, a son, Chad (Jean Canon) Heideman of Waterloo; six grandchildren: Jillian Heideman; Nate and Ashton Johannes; and Aimee, Lindzee, and Sierra Canon; two brothers, Jeff Heideman, of Waterloo and Rich Heideman of Kissimmee, FL and two sisters: Trish Shanahan of Cedar Falls and Joni Green of Sumner.
Stacey was preceded in death by: her father, maternal grandparents: Kenneth and Grace Makinster, and paternal grandparents: Henry and Clara Heideman.
