Dixie L. Sutton, 81, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, March 5, at home.

She was born December 29, 1936 in Lime Springs, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Lucille Medhaug Mintey.

Dixie was employed in nursing home care for many years.

Survivors include: a son, Timothy (Cheryl) Beck of Waterloo; four daughters, Tina Cobb, Tonia Beck, Cynthia (John) Miller and Kimberlee (Chad Buss) Adair, all of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Derifield and Janice Corson, both of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard; a daughter, Barbara; her parents; and three brothers: Gerald, Donald and Robert Mintey.

Memorial services are planned for March 19 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Inurnment will be in New Oregon Cemetery, Cresco, Iowa.
