Beryl Davis, 77, of Waterloo, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord on New Year’s Eve 2017. She was born on March 14, 1940, and raised in Uniontown, PA. After graduating from Uniontown Joint High School in 1958, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Hospital Corpswave through 1961. While serving in the U.S. Navy she met her soulmate, Kent D. Davis. They served together at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. They were married on August 19, 1961 in Camden, NC. They moved to Pennsylvania while Kent was employed at a research lab. While living in Pennsylvania both of their children were born. Beryl worked for Bell Telephone as well as Kmart Corporation. They moved to La Crosse, WI when Kent accepted a position at Gunderson Clinic where he became the Supervisor of the Special Hematology Lab.

Beryl was very active with their church, Faith Baptist, as well as volunteering at Faith Christian School where both of their children attended. She worked at the Onalaska Care Facility until shortly after her husband passed away on December 22, 2012. Beryl moved to Waterloo, IA in 2013. She was an active member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. She loved working with the AWANA Club as well as helping in the nursery area. Beryl also volunteered at Waterloo Christian School.

Beryl is survived by her children: Lisa (Steven) Morey, Waupaca, WI, and Kent D. II (Julie) Davis, Cedar Falls, IA. She was also the loving Grandma of 11 grandchildren: Olivia Morey, Jordan Morey, Alek (Nicki) Davis, Alena (Casey) Dyball, Cynthanee Heeren, Alea (Jared) Joerger, Chaz (Bianca) Heeren, Annabelle Davis, Gracie Davis, William Davis, and Ean Davis and 4 great grandchildren: Melanie, Mylah, and Marshall Dyball and Phillip Joerger. Beryl Davis was a devoted wife, mother, and follower of Jesus Christ. She was generous with her time, her possessions, and her hard work. Beryl would not have wanted to be praised or singled out for her life, but her faithful and loving example of a life lived knowing, trusting, and honoring God has left an internal imprint on her family and others with whom her path crossed. Beryl will be earnestly missed and appreciated by all of those who were touched by her life.
