Biography--

LaNell Grimm, 81, of Hudson, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center, of natural causes.

She was born February 28, 1936, in Elizabeth, Louisiana, the daughter of Leon and Dovie McDaniel Odom.

She married James Edward Campbell in 1952 in Reinbeck, they were later divorced. She married Ray Grimm on June 5, 1983 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterloo.

LaNell worked at various jobs in the Health Care Field. She enjoyed reading, scrapbooking and crocheting. She was very generous and kind and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survived by: her husband Ray of Hudson; one son, Roger (Cindy) Campbell of Des Moines; two stepsons, Randy Grimm of Des Moines, Bruce (Shawn) Grimm of Dysart; two stepdaughters, Yvonne (Michael) Werner of La Porte City, Wendy (Lonnie) Blocker of Traer; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two brothers, Raymond (Suran) McDaniel and Junior McDaniel both of Elizabeth, Louisiana and one step sister, Marie.

Preceded in death by: her parents and one son William “Bill” Campbell.
