Biography--
Queston Belvadeere Boston, 75, of Elk Run Heights, Iowa, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa, on Monday, December 18, 2017, of cancer.
Queston was born on September 29, 1942 in Waterloo, son of Richard and Darlene (Johnson) Boston.
He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1960. Queston married Judith Farrell on March 15, 1969 in Belleville, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict from 1964-67.
Queston was a conductor for the Illinois Central Railroad for 39 years, before retiring in 2001.
He enjoyed playing golf, and was inducted in the Waterloo Golf Hall of Fame. He holds the course record of 12 under par at Gates Park. Queston was a huge Hawkeye football and basketball fan, and he and Judith were football season tickets holders for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Judith of Elk Run Heights; a son, Shane (Claudia) Boston of Royal Palm Beach, FL; a daughter, Shannon‑Marie (Jameson Kruger) King of Johnston; three grandchildren: Jadyn, Kennedie, and Jace King; two step-grandchildren: Hannah and Zack Kruger; two brothers: Kim (Mary Beth) Boston of Murfreesboro, TN and Troy (Christy) Boston of Oskaloosa; two sisters: Questeen (Allan) Read of Waterloo and Kate (Vorland) Henderson of Menomonie, WI; and his stepmother, DeLoris Boston of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Richard Boston; his mother, Darlene Perry; and an infant brother, Bobby Boston.
