Biography--

Lynette D. Riley, age 66, of Rock Island, Illinois, and formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Trinity Hospital in Rock Island.

She was born May 17, 1951 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred F. and June M. (Culver) Frahm. Lynette graduated from Waterloo East High School with the Class of 1969 and attended Pitzi’s School of Beauty.

Lynette was a bus driver for the Waterloo Community School district, retiring after 30 plus years of service and was a hairstylist. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Evansdale. Her family was her life and she had several exchange student brothers and sisters over the years that meant a great deal to Lynette. She lived for her family and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include a son, Markanthony (Bobbi) Lee of Waterloo; seven grandchildren: Ashley (J.R.), Britney, Markanthony, Kendrick, BreeAnna, Raekwon and David, Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Paula (Willard “Joe) Ratchford, Jr. of Augusta, KS; and a brother, Don (Judy) Frahm of Wellsburg, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great granddaughter, Alexis Janae Lee.

Lynette’s family would like to thank all of her caregivers for their loving support and care.
