Obituary for Kay Louis Linsey

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Kay Louise Erusha Linsey, 66, of St. Charles, Missouri, and formerly of Cedar Falls, died at home Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

She was born November 17, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Donald R. and Patricia Jane Olson Erusha of Cedar Falls. She married Larry Linsey on June 7, 1975, at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls.

Kay graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1969 and from the University of Northern Iowa in 1974 with a degree in home economics. She had a company, The Wacky Stitcher, creating one-of-kind-sewn pieces.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Cory Linsey of St. Charles; a granddaughter, River Linsey of St. Charles; and her parents, of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Marie, who died in infancy.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Visitation will be for an hour prior to services at the church. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Kay will be remembered for her loving and giving nature. Nothing gave Kay as much joy as spending time with her cherished granddaughter, and her loving family and all her crafting friends. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
