Marian C. Erickson, age 99, of Waterloo, died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Cedar Falls Health Care Center. 

She was born January 9, 1918 in Buffalo Township, Buchanan County, IA, the daughter of Harrison and Mary (Crawford) Love.  Marian graduated from Lamont (IA) High School with the Class of 1934.  She was united in marriage with Ellsworth L. Erickson on December 12, 1942, in Joplin, MO.  He preceded her in death on July 28, 1977. 

Marian was a bookkeeper for many years and had worked for Potter Ice Cream Co., Tenenbaum’s Jewelry, Zales Jewelers, and S & S Meats.  She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church and First Wesleyan Church in Waterloo.  

Survivors include a son, Virgil (Jeanne) Erickson of Waterloo; a daughter, Mariellyn (David) Bowser of Waterloo; four grandchildren: Christopher (Jaimie) Bowser of Ottumwa, IA, Elisabeth Erickson of St. Louis, MO, Daniel (Anna) Bowser of Reinbeck, IA and Kristin (Mark) Roberts of Cedar Rapids, IA; nine great-grandchildren: Annaliese and Emerson Bowser, Caleb, Abby, Gracie and Maisie Bowser and Ryan Simmons, Miles and Harrison Roberts; a brother, Harvey Love of Independence, IA; and two sisters-in-law, Lorna (Richard) Conners of Oshkosh, WI and Ruth Davis of Madison, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her stepmother, Laura Mae Fox Love; and a sister, Lois Whitcher Jahnke.
