Alex M. Bullerman 18, died Saturday November 11, at Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa.

Alex was born November 28, 1998, in Waterloo, the son of Pat and Gail Schoo Bullerman.

Alex attended St. Edward Elementary School and Blessed Maria Middle School. He graduated from Waterloo West High School May 2017.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Sarah Bullerman of Waterloo, and Leslie (Fatah) Teghanemt of Coralville; a brother James Bullerman of San Diego; his maternal grandparents, Leon and Mary Schoo of Waterloo; three nephews, Colin, Carson, and Liam; his aunts and uncles are: Colleen and Steve Nutting, Wayne and Valerie Schoo, Floyd and Rosemary Bullerman, Robert and Judy Bullerman, Sandy and Dave Neuendorf, Ivan and Peggy Bullerman, Doris and Alan Haugen, Joyce and Greg Sadler, Michael and Georgia Bullerman, and Terry and Lisa Bullerman, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alphonse and Alice Bullerman; and two cousins, Brad Haugen and Neiko Morris.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 15 at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 6:30 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services at the church on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family where they will be donated to various charities in Alex’s name.

On Saturday, in five hours of surgical procedures, doctors from the Iowa Donor Network harvested everything they could use from Alex’s body. This was his wish and we honored it. Please pray for the patients and families who will benefit from his gift.
