Obituary for Betty Jean Stevens

Betty Jean Stevens, 81, of Kimberling City, Missouri, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, August 8, at 11:54 p.m.

She was born January 4, 1936 in Hampton, daughter of Floyd and Mary Wilson Babcock. She married Marlin Stevens on June 28, 1954 in Nashua. He died December 30, 2004.

Betty graduated from Orange High School in 1954 and owned and operated Stevens Trophy House for 20 years, retiring in 1996.

Survivors include: two daughters, Debra Harp of Reeds Springs,Mo. and Shirley (Glen) Conger of Waterloo; three sons, Scott (Emily) Stevens of Cape Coral, Fla., John (Lisa) Stevens of Waterloo and Randy Stevens of Reeds Springs, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and a son-in-law, Rick Harp.

Services will be noon Monday, August 14, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with entombment in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum, followed by a luncheon at the home of her son, John. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Monday.
