Carol “Margo” Nicholas (1941-2017)

November 23, 1941 - July 19, 2017

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Carol “Margo” Nicholas, 75, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at her home.

She was born November 23, 1941, in Moberly, Missouri, daughter of Raymond and Rose Klass Falzone. She married Lee Nicholas on August 27, 1961 in Moberly, Missouri.

She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa and her undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Tulsa. She was a Social Worker with the Area Education Agency 267 for 19 years, a Social Worker for Lutheran Social Services for three years and was most proud of her early years with the Tri-County Head Start as a teacher.

Survived by: her husband of Waterloo; two daughters, Jennifer Allen of Cedar Falls and Holly Cashen of Waverly; two sons, Randal (Susan) of Lena, Illinois and Paul Chhim (Sao) of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Carter Allen, Raymond and Sarah Nicholas, John and Elisabeth Cashen, Michael and Alexis Chhim; and two sisters, Rose Rhodes of Missouri, and Rae Grueninger of Florida.

Preceded in death by: her parents.

Memorials Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, AUGUST 5, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Visitation from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, AUGUST 4, 2017 at Richardson Funeral Service and also an hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, WCF Symphony or the Church.
