Obituary--

Barbarella Ann Moore, 48, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 13 due to a construction accident while working.

She was born Feb. 12, 1969 in Waterloo, daughter of John and Judy Hay Moore. She married Cleo Jackson in April, 1997. They later divorced.

Barbarella graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1987. In 1988, she received her Barber license and received her Associates Degree in Business, 2011, and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, 2013, all from Kaplan University. She worked in food service in the area before working for Midwest Contractors.

Survived by: her daughter, Amanda (Raimond) Moore of Waterloo; her son, DeVonta Jackson of Waterloo; her mother, Judy Moore Keefe of Waterloo; two sisters, Heidi (Brad) Worrall of Charles City and Johna (Bruce) Petersen of Cedar Falls; two nieces, Meredith (Garrett) Lukens and Isabelle Worrall; a nephew, Kiefer Petersen; a great niece, Quincy Lukens.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Moore and her step-father, Jim Keefe.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church followed by a gathering of family and friends at the American Legion,728 Commercial St, Waterloo, IA 50701. Visitation will be for one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.
