Biography--

James “Jim” Behrens Capelle, age 78, of Waterloo, Iowa, and formerly of Spring Valley, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at his home.

He was born on January 31, 1939 in Rochester, Minnesota; the son of Clarence and Audrey (Behrens) Capelle. Jim graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1957 in Spring Valley, Minnesota.

He married Donnamae Alice McGinley September 24, 1960 at the Methodist Church in Dodge Center, MN.

Jim worked part-time at Champlin Gas Station; and then worked for 40 years at John Deere & Co. as a supervisor, retiring in 1999. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1961‑1967. Jim was a lifetime member of Waterloo AMVETS Post #19; The Fraternal Order of Eagles #764; and Moose Lodge of Washburn #328.

Survived by his wife, Donnamae Capelle; two sons, Jeff Capelle of Santee, CA and Robert (Michele) Capelle of Waterloo; two grandsons, Skyler Lee Capelle and Alex James Capelle; a brother, Michael Capelle of Rochester, MN; a sister, Carole Ann (Kenny) Hodson of Ostrander, MN.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Capelle
