Obituary for Jerry A. Muir

Waterloo, Iowa - Jerry A. Muir 74, of Waterloo died Monday April 24, at Unity Point Health- Allen Hospital.

He was born June 24, 1942, in Waterloo, son of Chalmer and Delores Muir. He married Lois Trout June 19, 1965, in Waterloo.

Jerry was employed with John Deere in the foundry for several years before retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by a son, Allen Muir of Fairbank; a daughter, Laurie (Ralph) Anfinson of Fairbank; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Jody Muir; and a sister, Janice Muir;

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Mark Muir; two brothers, Larry Muir and Ronnie Muir; two sisters, Wanda Deerfield and Margie Muir.

Services will be on Friday, April 28, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and the Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Public visitation will be held 4-7:00p.m. Thursday and for one half hour before the services Friday at the funeral home.
