Obituary for Paulette Ann Sadler

Paulette Ann Sadler, 69, of Washburn, Iowa, died Monday, May 8, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born October 13, 1947, in Waterloo; the daughter of Paul and Barbara Becker Schares. She married Robert Sadler on August 12, 1967, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville.

Paulette graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1965. She worked at Design Studio Floral and Accessories and most recently retired from Bertch Cabinet Manufacturing.

Survivors include her husband Bob of Washburn; her son, Todd (Tina) of Evansdale; two daughters, Andrea (Scott) Mead of Polk City and Stacy (Sean) Dority of Polk City; four grandchildren: Mitchell and Ethan Mead, Alyson and Noah Dority; three step grandchildren: Christy, Kayla and Cody Cote; three step-great-grandchildren: Kali Stafinski, Corbin Bates and Haven Stafinski; three sisters: Shirley (Tom) Delagardelle of Gilbertville, Joanie (Dick) Kerns of Waterloo, and her twin sister, Claudette (Dick) Bedard of Gilbertville; two brothers, William Schares of Winter Park, FL. and Eugene Schares of Gilbertville; a sister-in-law, Barb Driscoll of Washburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul and Bernard Schares; her sister, Connie Driscoll; two brother’s-in-law, Dave Kafer and Mike Driscoll; and a nephew, Tony Kerns.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 12, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, both in Gilbertville. Public visitation from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and 6 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the Bosco System or Cedar Valley Hospice.
