Sara Lee Mae Roeding was born on August 2, 1967, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of William and Karen (Thill) Roeding. She grew up in Waterloo and graduated from East High in 1985. Sara was baptized at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Waterloo. She worked for the Waterloo Courier, County View Nursing Home, and Tyson’s Packaging. Sara enjoyed taking care of her children; they were the loves of her life. She also enjoyed camping and bike riding.

Sara died peacefully at her home, at the age of 48, on Saturday, June 17, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Sara is survived by two sons, Travis (Erika Ross) Gorman and Jordan Gorman; her significant other, Brian Gorman; three brothers, Michael (Gail) Roeding, Carl (Lisa) Roeding, and Arthur (Lauren) Roeding; three sisters, Kim (Paul) Troxell, Karla (Matt) Theriac, and Dora (Travis) Seliger; and many nieces and nephews.
