Marlys Anna Lewis was born December 13, 1925, the daughter of Herman and Anna Hein Scharp. She married Guy Elmer Lewis on June 4th, 1950, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waverly, Iowa. She worked as a secretary for Lutheran Mutual Insurance; in the offices at Rath Packing Company and K-Mart in Waterloo; and then later for General Nutrition Center at Crossroads, Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to Ravenwood Specialty Care and Care Initiatives Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Elmer Lewis, and by three sisters from Waverly, Iowa: Hulda Arenholz, Bertha Graening and Edna Scharp.

She is survived by a twin sister, Marlyn Sebilsky, of Waverly, Iowa; her children, Connie Primmer (Dave), Waterloo, Iowa; Terry Lewis, Los Angeles, Calif., Daryl Lewis (Rhonda), St Louis, Missouri, and Brian Lewis, Waterloo, Iowa; six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
