Robert W. “Bob” Raska, Sr., 91, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1925 on a farm north of Radcliffe the son of Ira and Minnie (Ratzke) Raska.
He married Signe Watne on January 11, 1947 in Eldora; she preceded him in death on March 4, 2012.
Bob worked in the Claims Department at Allstate Insurance Co. for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps/Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Robert is survived by one son, Robert W. Raska, Jr. of Garwin; one daughter, Kimberly (Jerry Miller) Raska-Miller of Laramie, Wyoming; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Verner “Nooker” (Mabel) Raska of Webster City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter-in-law, Anj Raska; two brothers, Alfred and Harley Raska and one sister, Norma McCollough.
