Inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo.

Biography--

Patricia A. “Pat” Palmer, age 79, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center, in Waterloo.

She was born December 7, 1936 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Violet (Townsend) Thraenert. Pat attended St. Mary’s School in Waterloo. She was married to Ivan E. Palmer; and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2010.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Johnston of Hudson; a son, Kevin (Cathie) Carroll of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Thraenert of Reinbeck, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, David Thraenert; and by two sisters, Esther Newton and Mary Thraenert.
