Biography--

Karen A. Doering, 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, died October 20, 2016 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born on April 17, 1941 in Waterloo; the daughter of Donald L. and Doris L. (Curtis) Thompson. Karen graduated from Waterloo East High School.

She married Gary N. Doering on May 11, 1963 in Preston, MN; he preceded her in death on March 4, 2013.

Karen was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include: two sons, Scott (Bonnie) Zegarac of Cedar Falls, and Mark Doering of Waterloo; two daughters, Diana (Greg) Reiter of Waterloo, and Cathy (Kim) Wrage of Hudson; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald (Shari) Thompson of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband.
