MINNIE M. NICHOLS---Services for Minnie M. Nichols, 88, of 1017 Newton St., will be 11 am Wednesday at Cornwall Avenue Free Methodist Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
She died Friday night (November 4) at Allen Memorial Hospital of heart failure.

She was born Sept 12, 1900 in Fairfield, Iowa daughter of William and Ada Hough Bailey. She married Harvey L. Nichols June 23, 1940, in Fairfield. He died March 25, 1976. She was a teacher 19 years in rural Fairfield schools.

Survivors include three sisters, Sara Harrison of Fairfield, Frances Couch of Ashland, Nebraska, and Lillian Jones of Burlington; seven step-grandchildren, nine step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter Mavis Lemons; a brother, Clarence Bailey; and three sisters, Alberta Howard, Juanita Messer and Margaret McIntire.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 pm. Tuesday at Kearns Huisman-Schumacher Chapel and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.
