Biography--

Ann Rossum Carter, age 81, of Waterloo, died on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital.

She was born on December 16, 1935, in Eagle Grove, Iowa; the daughter of George W. and Millie C. (Rossum) Baker. Ann married Ronald Maurice Carter on June 12, 1955 in Eagle Grove; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2017.

Ann worked as a housekeeper for Cedar Falls Lutheran Home (NewAldaya Lifescapes) for 18 years; she had also held clerical positions for the Eagle Grove telephone office and Iowa State Teachers College.

Survivors include her twin daughters, Judie (Randall) Palmer of Spotsylvania, VA and Julie Ann (Joseph Lange) Carter of Waterloo, IA; four grandchildren, Sean Carter, Travis Hill, Megan Porter, Kaitlyn Palmer; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, George (Dee) Baker of Clarion, IA.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and by two grandsons, Brett C. Hill and Dustin B. Palmer.
