September 30, 1948 - July 1, 2016

Grundy Center, Iowa – Michael Steven Lemker, age 67, of Grundy Center, formerly of Lake Park, died Friday, July 1 at St Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.

He was born September 30, 1948 in Sibley, the son of Archie and Ardis (Rohan) Lemker. He graduated from Harris – Lake Park High School in 1967. On December 11, 1971 he married Lucy Van Maasdam in Spirit Lake. Mike worked at Ag Vantage FS in Waverly for the last 12 years as a LP salesman and delivery driver, retiring in 2014.

He is survived by his wife; son, Chad (Jessica) of Forest Lake, MN; daughter, Lonna (Cole) Jensen of Loveland, CO, three grandkids: Tulla, Declan and one on the way; sister, Louise Eckard of Spokane, WA; and a brother, Don (Carol) of Pueblo West, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Phillip, Robert, and Joseph; two sisters, Marney Tjaden and Julia Ann Doran.

Funeral Services will be 11am Thursday, July 7, at St Gabriel Catholic Church in rural Reinbeck.

Visitation will be from 4-7pm Wednesday, July 6 at Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls and also one hour prior to the service at church.
