CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Marjorie Ann Nelson, 87, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.

She was born March 22, 1929, in Lakota, Iowa, daughter of George L. and Laura E. (Lester) Adams. She married Robert Nelson on October 29, 1950 at the Methodist Church in Dike, Iowa.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1947. She worked in Bookkeeping at Midway Bank and then was a Records Clerk with AEA 7. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Deb (Alan) Bernard of Cedar Falls; a son, Steve (Therese) Nelson of Naperville, Illinois; five grandchildren: Shelby, Bryce, and Brittany Bernard, Nick (Christina) and Mark (Raquel) Nelson; and by two great-grandchildren, Connor Nelson and Emmerson Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Davis.

Memorial Services: Saturday at First United Methodist Church with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
