David E. Loy (1948-2017)

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – David E. Loy, 68, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at UnityPoint – Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

He was born September 18, 1948 in Waterloo, son of Floyd “Ted” and Mabel “Bonnie” Hilton Loy. He married Susan J. Hobbs on October 21, 1972 in Waterloo.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1967 and served in the US Army during Vietnam. He earned his Associates degree from Gates Business College and was an LPA and Partner at Loy and Associates. He was Past President of Kiwanis Rough Risers and Accountants Association of Iowa. He was a member of Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls.

He is survived by his wife of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Amy (Craig) Weaver of Newton, and Kimberly Loy of Waterloo; and a grandson, Matthew David Loy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
