Biography--

Mike "Binford" Peterson, 52, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died at UnityPoint Health ‑ Allen Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

Michael Chris Peterson was born October 26, 1963 in Waterloo, the son of Wayne Peterson and Betty Nootnagel. He graduated in 1982 from Waterloo East High School and then served in the United States Air Force from 1982‑1986 receiving an honorable discharge.

He was a 30‑year journeyman printing press operator in the local area and most recently working as a forklift operator at Target Distribution. He was a member of Evansdale AMVETS Post #31.

Mike is survived by his son, Chris (Maggie) Peterson of Elk Run Heights, Iowa; mother, Betty (Dave) Beaumont of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and nephew, Jason (Kassandra) Peterson of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne "Pete" Peterson and sister, Lori Papenheim.
