Biography--

Lydia K. "Kay" Cunningham, 101 of Waterloo, died at Friendship Village Pavilion Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

She was born January 27, 1916 in Orange Township, daughter of Ephriam "Wallie" and Bertha Kline Miller.

She married Gerald Cunningham January 22, 1943 in Harrisburg, Pensylvania. He died February 21, 1969. She graduated from Orange Township High School in 1933 and attended Gates Business College.

She was a homemaker for most of her life. Kay was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and past president of the Presbyterian Women's Association, as well as a deacon, choir member and an elder at the church and belonged to the study club. She was also a member of PEO Chapter FE.

Kay greatly enjoyed her time with her husband and two boys at their lake house at Union Grove Lake. Vacations often centered around fishing, including trips to Lake of the Woods, Lake of the Ozarks and Florida. She loved to entertain, particularly guests at her house where she often cooked and baked - including some delectable cream puffs. Kay had an organ at home that she often played and loved the birds that would build nests near her window at home. She was well known and liked by all the people in her neighborhood. Above all else, Kay loved her family.

Kay is survived by her sons, Gregg (Pat) Cunningham of Auburn, NH and Scot Cunningham of Candia, NH; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepson, Bob Cunningham; two sisters, Jean Petersen and Dorothy Wood; and a brother, Perry K. Miller.
