Cedar Falls, Iowa Gazette Feb 26, 1901: Mrs. Mary E. Rexstrew, wife of Mr. Elwood Rexstrew, died Sunday morning at six o'clock at her home in East Cedar Falls. Mrs. Rexstrew was born in Ohio, in 1843, and was married there in 1863. Her home has been in Cedar Falls for thirty-five years. She leaves three children, one son and two daughters, Mrs. John Moore, Mrs. David Savage, and Gibson Rexstrew. The funeral will be held today at two o'clock at the Baptist church, services conducted by Rev. Richmond A. Smith. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
