Funeral services for Ivan Lavern Myers, 81, of Cedar Falls, were held last week at Ascension Lutheran Church, Waterloo. Hagarty-Waychoff-Garrup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway was in charge of arrangements with burial in Garden of Memories.

He was born October 23, 1918, in Klinger, Iowa, the son of Chauncey and Bertha Schauers Myers. He married Virginia Mae See on September 28, 1940, in Waterloo. She died June 16, 1985. He married Annamae Hinrichs in December 1985 in Waterloo.

Mr. Myers was a machinist for John Deere and farmed. He also had worked at Rath Packing Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters: Carol L. Callahan of Northfield, Minnesota, Iann Veidhuizen, Peggy King and Mary Wilber, all of Waterloo; three step-daughters: Dee Thompson of Huntsville, Alabama, Sue Luhring of Hudson and Kathy Eggleston of Las Vegas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers: Alvin of Waterloo, Bob of Sioux Falls, Sough Dakota, and Jerry of Cedar Rapids, and four sisters: Dorothy Dunnwald and Betty Brunscheon, both of Waterloo, LaVonne Meehan of Santee, California, and Helen McCulley of Hudson.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald and a sister, Grace Brown.
