LaRetha L. Bentley, 39, of Waterloo, died Friday, April 8 at Covenant Medical Center ER of natural causes.

She was born January 18, 1977, in Waterloo, the daughter of James Rhodes and Annie Bentley. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1995. She was employed at Ocwen Loan Servicing for 15 years and most recently at Grainger as sales and customer relations representative.

Survivors include her daughter, LaTazia Bentley of Waterloo; her dog son, King Bentley; her mother, Annie Bentley Butler; her father, Kevin Butler of Waterloo; her brother, James Rhodes of Waterloo; her sister, Jamie Rhodes of Waterloo; her God Mom, Jacqui Polk of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dae’Quan Campbell; paternal grandparents, James and Charlie Mae Rhodes; maternal grandparents, Tillman and Emma Mae Bentley; her father, James Rhodes.

Services: Friday, April 15, at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation on Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation also one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
