Harriet E. Blough

February 14, 1919 - April 6, 2016

Harriet E. Blough, 97, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, April 6, at Windhaven.

She was born February 14, 1919 in Mystic, daughter of John and Sara Armstrong Ford. She married Wilbur F. Blough on August 21, 1940 in Waterloo. He died December 24, 1993.

Harriet was employed with the YWCA for 11 years.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Michael (Judi) Blough of Sebring, Florida, Steven (Jane) Blough of Cedar Falls and Niles (Ann) Blough of Loganville, Georgia; a daughter, Janet (Gene) Sandell of Grundy Center; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a grandson, Chad Dirks; and a sister, Jean Brown.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Western Home Foundation.
