Charles E. "Chuck" Elfritz

Charles E. “Chuck” Elfritz, 81, of Bridges Senior Lifestyle Living, died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at his home.

Chuck was born May 16, 1934, in Barrelsville, Maryland, the son of William and Bertie (Bradour) Elfritz. He married Dorothy E. Roloff October 31, 1953, in Cedar Falls.

He worked in maintenance for John Deere for 28 1/2 years until retiring in 1993 and served in US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Chuck was a member of New Beginnings First Wesleyan Church, Past Commander and an Honor Guard with Evansdale Amvets Post #31, Past Master of Waterloo Masonic Lodge #105, Past Patron of Order of Eastern Star Cedar Valley #128, Past President of High Twelve, El Kahir Shrine and Firehouse Gang, Madonna White Shrine #47 of Jerusalem and Watchman of Shepherd.

Survivors include: wife, two sons, Terry (Sharon) Elfritz and Steve (Kay) Elfritz both of Waterloo; five grandchildren: Matthew (Emily) Elfritz of St. Paul, MN; Keri (Ian) Davis of Waterloo; Kristen Elfritz of Waterloo; Kelsey Elfritz of Waterloo and Katie Elfritz of Waterloo; two great‑grandchildren: Jackson and Owen Davis.

Preceded in death by: parents, two brothers Arthur and William, sister Mary Louise Friedman and an infant sister.
