Biography--

Wayne LeRoy Clough, age 84, of Waterloo, died on March 11, 2016, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a short illness.

He was born November 19, 1931, in Waterloo, the son of Wilbur & Edna (Brown) Clough. Wayne married Carol Rose on October 7, 1951, in Waterloo, she preceded him in death on June 17, 2003, after 52 happy years of marriage.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School and attended Wartburg College, where he became a wrestling conference champion at 123 lbs. Wayne served in the U.S. Army from 1951- 1953 as a Sergeant in the Artillery Unit during the Korean War.

He worked for Iowa Public Service (MidAmerican Energy) for 42 years, retiring in 1993. Wayne was a member of Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, Masonic Lodge #105 – AM&FM, American Legion Post #138, V.F.W. Post #1623, and was a Shriner for 21 years.

He is survived by two sons, Steve (Gloria) Clough of Waterloo and Curtis (Lisa) Clough of Roseville, MN; a daughter, Debra (General Steve) Arquiette of Lorton, VA; five grandchildren: Christopher (Sarah) Clough, Anna (Bryan) Tisue, Michael Clough, Melissa Clough, and Steven Arquiette; three great-grandsons, Spencer, Rowan and Beckett Clough; a sister, Delores (Marion) Adams of Waterloo; a brother, Lawrence (Marlys) Clough of Osceola; and two sister-in-laws, Marion Clough of Alabama and Betty White of Oskaloosa.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife, and two brothers, James & Harold Clough
