Biography--

Kathy L. Mueller, age 62, of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 6, 2016 at her home.

She was born July 14, 1953 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Edgar and Evelyn Maire Butters. She graduated from Waterloo East High School with the Class of 1970. Kathy was united in marriage with Otto Mueller III, on October 7, 1972, in Waterloo.

She was a lifelong homemaker and over the years she was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing and softball. Kathy loved little children and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Otto III of Waterloo; three sons: Robert “Bob” Mueller of Waterloo, Otto (Jessica) Mueller IV of Cedar Rapids and Bryan (Paige) Mueller of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Robert “Bob” (Elizabeth) Butters of Otterville, Iowa, and Butch (Lois) Butters of Independence; and two sisters, Rita Butters and Shirley (Roseanne) Butters, both of Waterloo.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Butters and Evelyn Frey; a daughter, Bridgett; and three sisters: Patricia Slater, Rosie Kirkbride and Darlene “JoAnn” Butters.
