Biography--

Nancy C. Barker, age 71, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at UnityPoint-Allen Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 19, 1944, in Waterloo, the daughter of Vern and Helen Niedert Blanchard.

Nancy was united in marriage with Monroe S. Barker and they were later divorced. He preceded her in death November 19, 1996.

Nancy was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Brian Barker of Dunkerton, IA; three daughters: Deanna (Sean) Clarke of Waterloo, Becky Barker of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Marilyn Richards of Dubuque; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Beard of Waterloo and a brother, Douglas (Carol) Blanchard of Denver, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Christopher Buhmann and a sister, Shirley Gorby.
