Lonnie D. Hanson

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Lonnie D. Hanson, age 68, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at his home in Cedar Falls.

He was born July 23, 1947, the son of Leo and Anna (Hansen) Hanson in Beatrice, Nebraska. He attended schools in Peabody, Kansas. In 1977, he married Avis Kaap in Newton, Kansas. She preceded him in death on July 5, 2007.

Lonnie served in the US Army during the Vietnam war and worked as a welder for US Grain Storage Systems of Dike, Iowa.

He is survived by his son, Leo (Denae) Hanson of Mesa, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Avis; and his brother Daryl Hanson.
There are no services planned at this time.
