DENVER, IOWA — Carol Larson, 77, of Denver, died Friday, February 5, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born April 6, 1938, in Ridgeway, daughter of Edward and Mildred Wiedeman Peter. On Sept. 21, 1958, she married Darwin Larson in Waterloo.

Carol graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1956 and then attended Pitze’s School of Beauty and was a beautician in the area for several years. She was employed by the State of Iowa in the revenue and finance department, retiring in 2000.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Linda Brink of Denver, Colo.; three sons, David (Julie) of Denver, and Mark and Dean (Michelle), both of Waterloo; six grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jo (Kevin) Hennager of Maynard; and a brother, Walter Peter of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services: Tuesday, Feb. 9, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Denver, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Feb. 8, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver, and for an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the church.
