July 23, 1957 - January 19, 2016Kurt Hudson Kuebler, 58 of Iowa City, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, January 19 at Manor Care Health Services after a short illness.
He was born July 23, 1957 in Sioux City, son of Eugene and Patti McClain Kuebler. Kurt graduated from Waterloo West High School and the University of Iowa. He had a 25 year career as a Medical Research Associate at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
Survivors include his mother, Patti of Waterloo; two brothers, John (Deborah) of Wichita, Kan. and James (Lynne) of Des Moines; a sister, Elizabeth (Douglas) Croft of Glenview, Ill. and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, James and Ila McClain and John and Eugenia Kuebler.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be for an hour before services at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Waterloo or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Norwalk, Conn.
Kurt will be remembered as a caring, compassionate caregiver by his family, friends and patients.
