Donald Lee Klingsmith

June 21, 1934 - January 18, 2016

Donald Lee Klingsmith, 81, died January 18, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

He was born June 21, 1934 in Kirksville, Mo., son of Orville and Gertrude Dobbs Klingsmith. He married Mary Jane Reed on August 27, 1960 in Waterloo.

He was employed with Rath Meat Packing Plant and later with Midwest Metals.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Don Jr. of Waterloo; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sons, David Lee, Glenn William; two daughters, Brenda Lee Klingsmith and Connie Jane Braillier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before services on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the family.
