Biography--

Donna Roethler, 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Saturday, January 16, 2016.

She was born December 21, 1940, in Manson, Iowa, daughter of Milo M. and Neva N. (Sigler) Hanks.

Donna married William A. “Bill” Roethler on October 20, 1981 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; he died October 13, 1988.

For many years, she managed Robin's Surplus Store in downtown Waterloo, retiring in 2015.

She was a member of Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Donna is survived by her son, Donald (Carol) Allen of Hiawatha, Iowa; daughter, Denise (Jim) Dougherty of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter, Mia (Dennis Sanderson) Heasley of Waterloo; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Gary (Marlys) Hanks of Waterloo; and Karen and Larry “Butch” Adams of Ankeny, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Russell Paul Sulentic.
