Gwinivere Wilma Venter was born on December 1, 1917 to Martin and Bessie (Pierce) Hagen in Waterloo, Iowa. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School.

Gwinivere married Floyd Venter on September 7, 1940 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She and Floyd enjoyed camping while he was alive and she continued to do so after his death and was apart of the Good Sam’s Camping Club. Gwinivere also enjoyed quilting and she was very active in a quilting group at Zion Lutheran Church. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Gwinivere passed away at the age of 98 at Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Floyd; her brother William Hagen; and her sister Betty Oleson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Abels and Teri (Stewart) Daniels; four grandchildren: Sean and Jason Christensen, Tarra (Thomas) Stewart and Kelsey (Kevin) Kremer; seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, sister and aunt and she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
