Helen Ann Kane, 88 of Waterloo died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, in Waterloo.

She was born September 5, 1927 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Anna Mataic Zubak. On June 20, 1950 she married Jim Kane at St. Edwards Church in Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Kane; a daughter Denise (David) Tiffany of Iowa City; and a sister, Rose Zubak of Waterloo; and a grandson, Mike Tiffany of Iowa City.

Preceded by: her parents; three brothers, John, Nick, and Frank Zubak; and two sisters, Mary and Francis Zubak.

Services: Friday, January 8, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo. With burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway Ave, Waterloo. With a private family rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a vigil service at 6:30. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Memorials: May be directed toward Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
