Biography--

Katherine (Sullivan) McFarland, 93 of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo died at the Western Home Cottages, Cedar Falls on Friday, January 1, 2016, of natural causes. She was born September 1, 1922 in Waterloo, daughter of James J. and Maggie O'Halloran Rooff. She attended West High School

She married Albert Sullivan on May 11, 1940 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, He died November 13, 1942. She later married, Dean McFarland on December 31, 1946. He died October of 1986.

She worked at Rath Packing for several years and then was a homemaker in her own home.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Mary) Sullivan, Waterloo, Iowa; two grandchildren, Kelley Sullivan Loughren of Cedar Falls and John Sullivan of Lenexa, Kansas; and by four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Sullivan and Dean McFarland.
