CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Celia “Sylvia” Llewellyn. 82, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday. December 23, at Unity Point-Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born October 11, 1933, in Punta Arenas, Chile, the daughter of James and Emma Alfsen Denholn. She graduated from Teachers College High School in 1952. She married Jerry Llewellyn August 9, 1953 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. He died September 20, 2004.
Sylvia was employed at the Type House of Iowa as a typesetter for 20 years and later a Martin Brothers Distributing.

She is survived by three sons: Mike (Mary Starr) of Waterloo, Jay (Kim) of Cedar Falls, and Shawn (Cathi Fahin) of Urbandale; six grandchildren: Alissa, Jordan, Jenny, Nate, Luke and Max Llewellyn; one brother, Erico (Sharlene) Denholm of Iowa Falls; and mother-in-law, Alda Folsom of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jackson Llewellyn.

Services: Monday, December 28, 2015, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with interment in the Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls.
