In lieu of flowers the Cole family requests that you donate to the Gilchrist Center-Towson Inpatient Facility, 555 W. Towsontown Blvd, Towson, MD 21204 (443-849-8200). This Hospice Center took such wonderful care of Tim.

Biography--

Timothy Paul Cole was born 30 October 1943, and passed away on 12 December 2015, in Towson, Maryland.

He graduated from West Waterloo in 1961 and later earned his Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma University and his Masters from Pepperdine University.

Tim was a proud veteran, serving over 21 years in the US Air Force retiring in 1981. Following his retirement he was employed by Martin Marietta Aerospace where he served as Program Director for several sensitive programs critical to our National Defense. Following this he was recruited and hired by Wackenhut Security Company where he served as President of Services Incorporated and later as Chairman of Wackenhut Corrections.

Following his time at Wackenhut, he was hired as Chairman and CEO of Youth Services International an organization which focused on troubled youth. Tim now turned his attention to the higher education field serving first as Executive Director and later as Campus President of Hamilton College in Cedar Falls. After his stay at Hamilton he was selected to be the Vice President of Operations at Kaplan.

His next challenge was as CEO of Concorde in Mission Kansas. He most recently served as President Ameritus of United States University in San Diego where he was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Education.

He is survived by brother David (Connie) Cole, sisters Sue (Jerry) Hummel and Linda (Steve) Schmidt. He is also survived by daughter Kristin(Mike) Padgett, son Kenny(Heather) Cole, daughters Ashley (Chris) Furst and Kelsey (Chris) Blackett. Survivors also include granddaughter Savanah Padgett, grandson Timmy Cole and numerous nieces and nephews.
