Biography--

Cletus J. Stubenrauch, 91, of Waterloo, died Saturday, November 21, at Bickford Cottage, Cedar Falls.

He was born April 13, 1924 in Bowdle, South Dakota, son of Frank and Mary Weiland Stubenrauch. He married Camile Kelly on August 29, 1942 in Kirkswood, Missouri. She died November 16, 1986.

Cletus was employed at John Deere Wateloo Tractor works for many years until retirement. He was a veteran of World War II and was a P. O. W.

Survivors include a son, Thomas (Ann) Stubenrauch of Janesville; three grandchildren, Steve (Suzy) Manross, Jeff (Sandi) Manross and Teresa (Jeremy Smith) Schutte; six great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and a sister-in-law, Del Stubenrauch of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald P. Stubenrauch; two daughters, Mary Lee in infancy and Cleta R. Schoenbeck; a greatgrandson, Chris Manross; two brothers, Fritz and Richard Stubenrauch; and a sister, Marie Bader.

Services will be Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial at 1:30 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Blessing, where full military rites will be conducted by Hudson Amvets Post 82 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard. Public visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue at the church for an hour before services on Wednesday.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Care Initiatives Hospice.
