March 6, 1925 - June 29, 2015

Lloyd A. Wiley, 90, of Cedar Falls, died at home on Monday, June 29, 2015. Lloyd was born March 6, 1925 in Woodward, Oklahoma, the son of Leslie and Jessie (Williams) Wiley. He married Wanda Merle Lenard June 13, 1947 in Grand Junction, Colorado. She preceded him in death July 11, 2002.

Lloyd served in the 10th Cavalry Recognizance Squad of the United States Army during World War II. He was a supervisor at power plants in both Colorado and Wisconsin for many years. Lloyd later owned and operated Wiley’s Christian Bookstore in Cedar Falls. He was a member of Cedar Valley Woodworkers and attended Trinity Wesleyan Church in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen (David) Andrews of Diller, Nebraska, Wandaruth (Paul) Bailey of Cedar Falls, and Judy (Keith) O’Neal of Satanta, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brothers, Herbert and Lester Wiley; and two sisters, Ruby Mercer and Ruth Green.

Services will be Friday, July 3, 2015 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49. Visitation will be Thursday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
